RANDELL GENE LAWSON

Randell Gene Lawson, 69, of Falcon, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, in Mercy Hospital Lebanon.

He was born April 1, 1951, in the High Point community of Washington County, Mo., to Donald and Model Collins Lawson.

On June 30, 1984, he was married to Lynna.

Randell was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Modell Lawson; beloved grandparents, Ellen and Homer Whitt; sisters Carolyn Bowles and Diane Belfield, brother, Dennis Lawson, niece Pam Bowles Dudley and nephew, James D. Belfield and father in law, Leo J. Ruble.

He left school at age 16 and went to work in St. Louis getting his first job as a window washer in downtown St. Louis. After that, he went to work in the shipping department at Brown Shoe Company. When he turned 18, he went to work at Chrysler Motors where he worked for three years. He then began working in the highway construction industry in the St. Louis area.

Randell was raised in the Pentecostal faith and was saved in his youth.

He is survived by his wife, Lynna, of the home; three brothers - Donny Lawson and his wife, Sherry, of Denver, Colo., Rodney Lawson of Springfield and Bryan Lawson and his wife, Debbie, of Mineral Point; a sister, Vicky Lawson and Bill Johnson of St. Louis; several brothers and sisters-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Randell Gene Lawson were held Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, in New Home Cemetery near Falcon with Scott Meyers officiating. Burial was in New Home Cemetery under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

The family asks that if possible people volunteer to help children learn to read.
