R-3 reports students are progressing

The Lebanon R-3 School District is boasting of mid-year test results showing the recent learning progress made by students. In a Facebook post last week, the district reported that in the January mid-year test for reading, 40 percent of K-5 students are already at or above grade level based on where they need to be at the end of the school year. An additional 43 percent of students are on track to make the growth needed to reach end of year expectations. Combined, 83 percent of K-5 students are making progress and achieving where they should be at this point in the school year. In math, 28 percent of K-5 students are already at or above where they need to be at the end of the school year. An additional 56 percent of students are on track and achieving where they should be at the middle of the year. Combined, 84 percent of K-5 students are making progress and achieving where they should be at this point in the school year. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
