After a month of searching, the wait for the next boys’ basketball coach at Lebanon High School came to an end on Tuesday night when the Lebanon R-3 School Board approved the hiring of Ryan Toombs.
For Toombs, this will be his third head coaching job in the last five years after spending time at Halfway for two seasons and most recently at Conway the past two years. He also served as an assistant, JV, and freshman coach at Lebanon for three years before landing at Halfway for his first head coaching gig.
“Coach (Will) Christian called me last week and said he would like to offer me the head coaching position officially, and of course, I was humbled that a place like this would want me back after I was here once already,” said Toombs.
