The Lebanon R-3 School Board looked at possible changes in its plans for dealing with COVID-19 at a meeting held Tuesday.
Superintendent Dr. David Schmitz said a decision to revert to in-person learning five days a week for PK-8 might be ready for the board’s Feb. 24 study meeting. He said COVID-19 trends appeared to be moving in a positive direction.
“On the 24th we will certainly have a lot more clarity on what’s going on and the conversation will continue,” he said.
The board was given a report showing a decline in students quarantines since mid January.
"Continued trends in data may indicate the need to evaluate benefits and drawbacks of continuing the 4/1 Fixed Blended (virtual Friday) model in grades preK-8,” according to the report.
