The Lebanon R-3 School District is looking at hiring a Director of Public Safety.
The action was discussed at Tuesday’s school board meeting, according to a release from the district
“The world has changed and the way we operate our schools has certainly changed,” Assistant Superintendent Dr. Brad Armstrong is quoted as saying.
The release from Tuesday’s board meeting explained how the hiring would benefit the district.
“The Lebanon R-3 School District has been a statewide leader in school safety. District leadership wishes to continue the District’s position as a leader in school safety, especially in a climate of concern for school safety around the nation. Community leaders in law enforcement, juvenile services, school officials, and the prosecuting attorney’s office met in late June to discuss opportunities to maximize school safety in our community.
