Public Water District #1 bond issue on August ballot

Voters in the Laclede County Public Water Supply District 1 will cast ballots next Tuesday on a bond issue for maintenance and system improvements. The Laclede County PWSD #1 Board of Directors passed a resolution calling for an election to authorize the issuance of bonds up to $10 million to be placed on the Aug. 3, 2021 ballot. If the bond issue is approved by the voters, it would give the board of directors ability to borrow money for necessary maintenance and improvements for the production, storage and distribution system for the next 15-20 years.
