The Lebanon City Council Monday evening approved an agreement with Lane Change that will allow that organization to develop transitional housing in Lebanon.

The redevelopment agreement will allow the faith-based substance abuse recovery program to waive nuisance abatement fees for properties at 145, 154 and 157 Pearl St. in exchange for the properties redevelopment into transitional housing.

Lane Change recently purchased the properties at the Laclede County delinquent tax sale.

Lauren Mitchell, executive director of Lane Change, said they have broken ground and are pouring foundations for a women's discipleship program called Shayla's lighthouse. She said the newly acquired lots will play a role in the program.
