As the year ends, the latest numbers available show unemployment declining in Laclede County.
Publication of September data for the Missouri Jobs Report was delayed by more than six weeks due to the lapse in federal appropriations and subsequent federal government shutdown, according to the state website.
Brian Thompson, president and chief executive officer of Lebanon Regional Economic Development Inc., said the delayed unemployment numbers released last week showed the unemployment rate going down.
