The Laclede County Commission approved its remonumentation contract with the Missouri Department of Agriculture during Tuesday morning’s short meeting.
The County Commission approved a contract with the Department of Agriculture over the remonumentation program the county has previously participated in, with Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst and Eastern Commissioner Erik Lindsey both voting yes. Western Commissioner Joe Wasmer was absent due to participation in the Mid-Missouri Ag Education Initiative.
“The county surveyor, Steve, does a wonderful job keeping that project going, and he requested that he would have the ability to do 20 corners this year,” Angst said, “and we had talked about that early in the year, and we agreed, and we submitted the application, and it’s come back and I have that for approval.”
