The Laclede County Commission moved to send $5,000 to local food resources during its Tuesday morning meeting.
The suggestion came from Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst during the topic of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce’s County Development Tax application.
While recognizing the Chamber’s work and his perception of increased membership, Angst saw food insecurity brought about the federal shutdown the need of local food resources as a more pressing need.
