Action involving the golf course recently purchased by the city took up much of the business at Monday night’s Lebanon City Council meeting.
The Council voted in favor of a contract with Mid-America Golf and Landscape of Lee’s Summit for an irrigation system for the golf course at the cost of $2.8 million.
According to a report to the Council from City Administrator Troy Schulte, “All vendors who visited the course suggested that there were stopgap solutions requiring an investment of $500,000 to $700,000 that could delay the need for a new system for a few years, but that a new system would eventually be needed as the irrigation system, installed in 1990, was at end of life expectancy.”
