Permit to transport marijuana on Planning and Zoning agenda Thursday

A medical marijuana transportation office is on the agenda for Thursday’s Lebanon Planning and Zoning meeting. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Lebanon City Hall. The office of Bulldog Trucking seeking a Conditional Use to have a medical marijuana transportation office at 20750 Ostrich Lane. This property is zoned C-1 Commercial and requires a Conditional Use Permit because it is adjacent to residential. According to the city, delivery people will stop at this location over night and perform the delivery the next day. They have 24 hours to pickup and deliver to a destination. Unless expressly allowed by the city, no new transportation facility shall be located within 1,000 feet of any existing elementary or secondary school, daycare, or church, according to the Department of Health and Senior Services. Vehicles used to transport marijuana are to be unmarked and be equipped with a lockbox for payments and video monitoring equipment during transit.
