PEGGY DARLENE HOGAN

Peggy Darlene Hogan, 89, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, in Lebanon.

She was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Laclede County, Mo. to Earl and Vera Louise Lindsay Sharp.

On June 24, 1950, she married John Edward Hogan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Edward Hogan on June 25, 1994; one sister, Farron Weaver; and one daughter Paula Hogan.

Peggy graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She worked in the kitchen at the hospital until she married. Later she began her career with the Laclede County Health Department, where she became the manager of the WIC program, until her retirement after 37 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Wehner and her husband John of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Matthew Wehner and his wife Shelley, Michael Wehner and his wife Amanda and Nickolas Wehner and his wife Sarah; eight great-grandchildren, Caden, Lyvia, Paxton, Jonathan, Brandon, Michaela, Grayson and Maddox; other relatives and friends.

There is no service scheduled at this time for Peggy Darlene Hogan, due to Covid and social distancing concerns. The family plans to have a private memorial service for her at a later date. At her request, her body is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There will be a burial at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
