Patricia Marie Emens, 79, of Humansville, died Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Springfield.
She was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Bellingham, Wash. to Jake and Margaret Barr Korthuis.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Arlene Foigt.
Patricia was raised in Oregon and Washington and after graduating from high school, she entered the military. She served her country faithfully in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Ariz. for four years while she worked in military intelligence. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Patricia returned to Washington and worked for Boeing Aircraft before moving to California, where she was an apartment house manager. She then began working as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company.
She is survived by a daughter, Ginger Routh and her husband Randall of Hermitage; nine grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren, as well a host of other relatives and friends.
