Patricia Ann “Patty’’ Smith, 60, of Conway, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, in Conway.
She was born Feb. 5, 1960, in Lebanon, Mo. to James Ewing and Peggy Ann Caffey Sharp.
On March 6, 1982, she married David Leroy Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Dana Barfield; a nephew, Michael Sharp, and by her father-in-law, Othel Smith.
Patty was raised on the family’s dairy farm in Niangua. She graduated from Niangua High School in 1978. She was a certified dental assistant for 15 years in the Lebanon community. In 2002, she became a realtor for Century 21 Laclede Realty. Patty was a volunteer at Pregnancy Support Center and served on the Lebanon Board of Realtors.
At a young age, Patty professed her faith in Christ, was baptized and became a member of Washington Christian Church. In later years, she and Dave attended Highland Park Church of God, and most recently, First Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Dave; two daughters, Samantha Brown and her husband Jacob of Springfield, and Alexis Smith of Springdale, Ark.; two grandchildren, Graham and Reagan Brown; three brothers, James D. Sharp and his wife Cheryl of Aurora, Colo.; Bob Sharp and his wife Elaine of Springfield and John Sharp and his wife Kay of Marshfield; her mother-in-law, Clara Smith of Lebanon; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Donnie Abbett of Tuscumbia; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Cindy Smith of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Patricia Ann “Patty’’ Smith will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Sam Simmonds and Bob Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends and family can visit at their convenience. Under the guidelines of the CDC and the state of Missouri, the staff of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel ask that you observe social distancing and proper hygiene. Masks are suggested. Those guidelines will be monitored during this time to accommodate the family and their wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Patty can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Pregnancy Support Center and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel at P.O.
