The L-LIFE Park Party held Saturday, Sept. 16 in Boswell Park saw about 1,000 total partiers who enjoyed some free grilled burgers, games and prizes.
L-LIFE Development Director Angela Fries said the event, which drew about 30% more people than last year, had the simple primary purpose of spreading the word that L-LIFE and its free food distribution program exists.
“In 2019, I learned that people still did not know the pantry existed after being open for nine years, so I tried to come up with a way to let everybody know L-LIFE was there,” Fries said.
