Park Board, Council discuss future of parks

Posted
Lebanon City Council and the Lebanon Park Board discussed park needs at a joint work session meeting Thursday. In August, Lebanon voters approved a half-cent sales tax to replace the park levy on real and personal property. Mayor Jared Carr said the meeting was to discuss how the funds will be used for park facilities and the five year master plan the park board is working on. Parks Director John Shelton talked about park needs, which he said included identifying new parks and a park connectivity plan. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
