Organizers say the Route 66 Festival drew a record crowd

Despite predictions of rainy weather, folks were ready, especially after weeks of a pandemic lock down, to get out and celebrate the Ozarks and they did so this past Saturday at Lebanon’s Route 66 Festival.

This was City of Lebanon Tourism Director Nicole McGinnis’s first year to chair the event and she and the rest of her committee were thrilled with the day’s turnout.

“We had parking shuttles running all day long,” she stated at the end of the day. “Our ballpark estimate is that we had a record-breaking 3,000 to 4,000 people attend throughout the day. We had the biggest turn out ever in the history of this festival in the number of 188 classic cars signed up, in the parade and on display at Boswell Park.”
