Organizer says COVID-19 had little effect on fair attendance

This year’s Laclede County Fair went well despite the need for COVID-19 precautions, according to Fair Board President Glenn Raef. “Basically, we couldn’t tell much difference,” Raef said. “It was maybe just a little bit down.” Last year, the fair experienced record attendance, so this year was “about what we would call a regular year,” Raef added. He said COVID-19 had an effect on the 2020 fair, but overall things seemed normal. For more on this story Wednesday's LCR.
