Opening Day again brings anglers to Bennett Spring

Bennett Springs State Park celebrated the annual trout fishing opening day Wednesday. The season officially kicked off at 6:30 a.m. March 1 and many fishermen made their way into the waters to have their chance to catch one of the many rainbow trout. By the end of the day 1,573 tags had been sold, including 1,468 adult tags and 105 child tags. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
