Norma Lee Kite, 100, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Lebanon.

She was born Jan. 22, 1924, to Robert and Rosa Fisher Woody.

On March 17, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Walter “J.W.’’ Kite.

Those preceding her in death include her parents; her husband J.W. on Dec. 16, 1995; brothers, Victor Woody in infancy, Everett Woody and his wife Pat and Kenneth Woody and his wife Bonnie; one sister, Laverne Cook and her husband Bill; and one brother-in-law, Clinton McGuire.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Norma is survived by one son, Bob Kite and his wife Betty of Swoope, Va.; two grandchildren, Dana Kite of New York City and Eric Kite and his partner Greg Watson of Washington, D.C.; one great-granddaughter, Kate Watson-Kite; two sisters, Lorene McGuire of Lebanon, and Mildred Jacobs and her husband Jim of Elkland; several special nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Memorials have been suggested to First United Methodist Church. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
