NOLA IRENE BURNS

Nola Irene Burns, 93, of Conway, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, in Lebanon.

She was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Valparaiso, Ind. to Elbert and Lois Marie Rader Draheim.

On March 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Burns.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bobby Joe on Sept. 6, 2012; by her brother, Carl Draheim and by a brother-in-law, Newman Rolfus.

Nola was a devoted homemaker and provided a warm and loving home for her family. She was a wonderful cook, and her family will especially remember her delicious chicken and dumplings, pancakes and sugar cookies.

She was a charter member Ozark Community Chapel Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Hendrix and her husband David of Lebanon; two sons, Robert Dean Burns and his wife Ella and Danny Joe Burns and his wife Karen, both of Conway; grandchildren, Kelly Burns (Dottie), Shelly Oberbeck (Terry), Sarah Craft (Brandon), April Cole (Lee), Seth Hendrix (Angie), Valorie Hendrix, Sam Burns (Tara), Kim Clifton (Tyler) and Ben Burns (Kayla); great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Jordan, Britten, Elijah, Jonah, Zack, Justin, Quentin, R.J., Mila, Devin, Austin, Rayland, Rhett, Reese, Renleigh, Jodan, Corbin and Gabriella; two great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Willow; her brother, Robert Draheim and his wife Kay of Marshfield; her sister, Dorothy Rolfus of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Neva Draheim of Lebanon, and Mildred Burns of Springfield; other relatives, church family and dear friends.

Funeral services for Nola Burns were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Darrell Calton officiating. Burial was in Ozark Community Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was at 5 p.m. Monday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Ozark Community Chapel Cemetery, Kissee Cemetery or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
