Route 66 traffic crossed the Gasconade River Friday for the first time since the old bridge was closed in 2014.
The Route 66 Gasconade River Bridge Guardians and Missouri Department of Transportation held a ribbon-cutting and opened up the new bridge. MoDOT closed the old bridge in December 2014 because of extensive deterioration.
Representatives of the Gasconade River Bridge Guardians, the Lebanon-Laclede County Route 66 Society, the Laclede County Commission, the Missouri Route 66 Association were among those represented at the event.
