Annette Charles was sworn in as the Laclede County Public Administrator this morning at the Government Center. She was appointed to fill the vacant position by Gov. Mike Parson. Charles had been serving as the interim public administrator since the resignation of Zane McCaslin, who took office Jan. 1 of this year, due to health issues. Charles had previous experience as a deputy public administrator.
County Clerk Linda Cansler said Charles will serve for two years, but will have to seek election to the office next year.
