Toni Morris was elected as Laclede County Collector in November however, Monday was her first day in office.
When thinking about running for county collector, she thought she would be a good fit because of her previous experience. After teaching accounting at OTC since 2009, and working at the license bureau, she felt she would do a great job in serving the people.
The collector’s office oversees collecting personal and real estate taxes as well as merchant license fees according to Morris.
