New community garden coming to Lebanon

Posted
A community garden is making its way to Lebanon this spring. Carl Angst, the man behind the idea, bought the 11 ½ acres of land to bring the community together. The plan for the garden was recently approved by the city and has already begun construction at the corner of Katherine and Kenoly, right behind Esther Elementary and near W.T. Vernon Park. “I would like to just say thanks to the city for having the foresight that this is needed or could be a good thing.” Angst is looking to open the garden to the public this spring with an opening event that will have more details coming soon. The garden will be free to anyone who wants to use it, “Anyone from beginners to professionals, anyone that wants to teach other people, this is a way to get the community together, something positive and hopeful.” Angst said.
