New addition drops anchor in Lebanon Veterans Park

Posted
It was easy does it in Veterans Memorial Park Friday afternoon as a crane from Berry Crane Services carefully placed a 15-ton anchor and its ton or more anchor chain on a concrete mount. Clyde Berry helped position the massive piece of Navy memorabilia while his son, John, operated the crane. Robert Cruz, who donated his truck and trailer to haul the anchor back from Kingsport, Tenn., lent a hand to help position it. He volunteered so he could honor his family, veterans and the Lebanon community.
