NELDA MAE TATE

Nelda Mae Tate, 85, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, in Lebanon.

She was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Stoutland, Mo. to George and Eva Marshall Stamback.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Barbara Hawkins, MaryAnn Stamback, and Jessie Stamback.

She was a 1954 graduate of Stoutland High School. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper at Fort Leonard Wood, and for over 20 years she was a mail carrier for USPS. She was a good artist and enjoyed working with ceramics. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, Randy Halstead and wife Tammy of Lebanon; Mark Halstead and wife Kimberly of Lebanon, and James Tate of Stoutland; two sisters, Georgia Stamper and husband Bucky of Stoutland, and Patty Wellington and husband Jerry of Sullivan; eight grandchildren, Angela, Mindy, Jennifer, Kristin, Tad, Shelby, Caymn and Kaleah.

A graveside service for Nelda Mae Tate will be held at a later date at Stoutland Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Sign guest book at www.shadelscolonialchapel.com
