Nancy L. Lindesmith, 85, of Lebanon, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 16, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Lebanon.
She was born Nov. 21, 1935, in Bartlesville, Okla. to Stanley and Margarete Templin.
On June 19, 1954, she married Ernest Eugene Lindesmith, and to this union three sons were born.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernie, on June 12, 2015; and a sister, Judy Martin.
She was born and raised in Bartlesville, Okla. and graduated from high school there. Her family enjoyed spending the summers on Grand Lake. After she and Ernie were married, they made their home in various locations while Ernie served in the United States Air Force, and Nancy had to move the kids and household by herself every time. In October of 1974, the family moved to Lebanon, and made their home. Nancy was always a devoted homemaker and had worked in the insurance office at the H.D. Lee Company for a few years.
Nancy was raised in the Catholic faith and was very active in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon. She had also served on the National Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Lindesmith of Springfield; Stan Lindesmith and his wife Lisa of Apex, N.C. and John Lindesmith of Osage Beach; a daughter, Cheryl Goozmer of Anchorage, Alaska; her grandchildren, Michelle (Nick) Rouse, Glen Goozmer, Aaron Goozmer, Williams Goozmer, Joanna Goozmer, Jeremy Lindesmith, Olivia Lindesmith and Everett Lindesmith; two nieces, Teri Benac and Kelly Hearon; and a nephew, Kenny Martin.
Funeral services for Nancy L. Lindesmith will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon with Father David Miller officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Lebanon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Memorials to Claws and Paws, St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus have been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
