A University of South Carolina music professor is looking for inspiration on Route 66

A composer traveling Route 66 for musical inspiration made a stop in Lebanon Monday.
Composer Dr. Nolan Stolz, associate professor of music at University of South Carolina Upstate, has been traveling up and down Route 66 since July 1 getting inspiration for his next major composition for orchestra. He plan to continue traveling through July 2022.
“I’m trying to let the road tell me what it wants me to say about it musically,” Stolz said.
