MSG (Ret) Douglas “Gerald” Walling, 87, of Waynesville, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, in the Phelps Health Center of Rolla.
Mr. Walling is survived by his wife: Eileen Walling of the home; two children: Jay Walling (Julie Ann) of Denton, Texas, and Julie Turner-Hayes (Joe) of Waynesville; four grandchildren: Jamie Turner (Kathy) of Osage Beach, Joe Turner (Melissa) of Midland, Texas, Crystal Christian (Brad) of Nixa and Connor Walling (Jessica) of Denton, Texas; four great grandsons: Cole, Tristan, Rhett and Hayes; one great granddaughter, Seren; two sisters: Judy Davidson (Frank) of Clyde, Texas and Violet Wood of Clyde, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, in the Westside Baptist Church of Waynesville. Burial with military honors followed in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
