Mr. B performs outside local senior living facility

Cedarhurst of Lebanon residents last week enjoyed special music from the famous Mr. B, also known as Don Brenton. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he performed outside the building for residents who were inside. Brenton retired in 2018 from Esther Elementary School where he was known as “Mr. B” after 40 years of teaching music. He still performs for area community groups, including some lake area libraries ands at the local hospital. He said Cedarhurst Life Enrichment Director Justin Stephens contacted him a while back and asked if he could put on a show for residents. “I was planning to go and do some hymns, songs, magic tricks, stuff that I do, then the coronavirus thing happened, he called and said we couldn’t do that,” Brenton said. “Then he got the idea and called asked if I could just stand outside and perform.” For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
