The Missouri Department of Transportation has received a large amount of inquiries and road reports regarding Route 5 (Jefferson Avenue) in Lebanon and says a smoother roadway is on the way.
This September, a contractor working for MoDOT will begin the process of replacing the pavement along the outside lanes of Jefferson Avenue from the Route 64 intersection to Commercial Street. This will stabilize the roadway through the winter. The contractor will return in the spring and repave the entire surface of the roadway.
