MoDOT to begin work on Jefferson

Posted

Repair work is set for Jefferson Avenue in Lebanon beginning Oct. 12, according to Public Works Director Richard Shockley.

At Monday night’s Lebanon City Council meeting, Shockley said city staff had met recently with Missouri Department of Transportation representatives for a preconstruction meeting on the repair of Jefferson Avenue.

McGruder is the contractor and Willard Asphalt is the subcontractor for the milling and overlay, according to Shockley.

The work will begin next week with work expected to take place from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Oct. 12 on the outside lanes between Seventh Street and Commercial Street.

Jefferson will remain open, but there will be lane closures, City Communications Manager Derek Gean said. MoDOT will have traffic control in place. Their contractor is saying the repairs will take between three to five nights to complete, he said.
