Missouri bootheel earthquake felt here

An estimated magnitude 4 earthquake was felt in some parts of Laclede County around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Laclede County Emergency Management Director Randy Rowe said no injuries and only very minor damages were reported locally. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the quake was near Williamsville in Wayne County and tremors were felt across southern Missouri. According to Rowe, OEM started receiving calls at approximately 9:06 p.m. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
