Mikel Eugene Hartness, 54, of Waynesville, a longtime Pulaski County Paramedic and former Pulaski County Coroner, died Monday, March 18, 2024, in the Mercy Hospital of Springfield.

He is survived by his wife Elissa Hartness; mother, Kathy Hartness; six children, Jennifer Garrett, Donald Hartness, John Hartness, Devin Lowe, Brandon Wheador, and Alexandria Hartness; several grandchildren; two sisters, Angie George (Jerry) and Rachael Miller; paternal grandmother, Donna Hartness; mother-in-law, Donita Teel; father-in-law, Darren (Levy); sister-in-law, Danielle Levy; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, in the Westside Baptist Church of Waynesville. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, in Westside Baptist Church.
