Michael Lynn “Mike’’ Davis, 67, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Osage Beach.

He was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Joe L. and Coral Hass Davis.

On June 1, 1974, he married Joy E. Osborn, at the First Baptist Church in Camdenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charlie Davis; brother-in-law, Tom Carter; sister-in-law, Maggie; and father-in-law, Malcolm Osborn.

Mike graduated from Jefferson City Senior High School in 1971, and then attended University of Missouri—Rolla where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1975. It was there that he met the love of his life Joy (Osborn) Davis and they were married on June 1, 1974, at the First Baptist Church in Camdenton.

Davis was a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and Missouri. He worked for Benton & Associates, a consulting engineering firm in Illinois, for eight years prior to joining Barton Engineering Co. Inc. in Lebanon. As the former president and CEO of Barton Engineering Co. Inc., he provided consulting engineering services to the private sector and to municipalities, corporations and governmental entities.

In 2003, Davis returned to Benton & Associates where he split his time between offices in Lebanon and Jacksonville.

Survivors include his wife, Joy; one daughter, Trisha Nail and her husband Ben of Lebanon; one son, Justin Davis and his wife Melissa of Olathe, Kan.; five grandchildren, Kaleb and Taylor Nail, Dylan, Kelsey and Cora Davis; siblings, Shirley Carter of Denver, Colo.; Joe Davis and his wife Bev of the Kansas City area; Roy Davis and his wife Paula of Grandview, Mo. and Judy Hausman and her husband Dan of St. Joseph; his mother-in-law, Joan Osborn of Linn Creek; brother-in-law Keith Osborn and his wife Penny of Tyro, Kan.; sister-in-law, Karen Pennell and her husband Mike of Parkville, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and countless friends.

Funeral services for Michael Lynn “Mike’’ Davis will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Lebanon with Pastor Matt Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Hugo Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. The family has requested anyone that has not received their vaccine, please wear a mask.
