Michael Gene Garrett, 80, of Eldridge died Monday, June 12, 2023, in Eldridge.
He was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Raytown to Bernard and Eileen Wolfe Garrett.
Michael was a truck driver for many years.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; his wife Donna Lucille Garrett, and one son, Michael Gene Garrett Jr.
He is survived by one daughter, Kelly Duerden and her significant other, James Kepler of Eldridge; seven grandchildren, Krystle, Franklin, Kristopher, Austin, Keyla, Michael III and Magan; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Marty Garrett and his wife Shelly of Warsaw; Patrick Garrett and Sandy Redenger, both of Willard; other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service and burial for Michael Gene Garrett will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the Garrett Family Cemetery.
