MAZIE L. DAVIS

Mazie L. Davis, 72, of Lebanon, died Tuesday afternoon, April 6, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Lebanon.

She was born Aug. 10, 1948, in Lebanon, Mo. to Ernest and Nola Moore Davis.

Mazie was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother Harvey; her maternal grandparents, William and Nellie Moore; her paternal grandmother, Mattie Pendergrass; her paternal grandfather, Snowdie Davis; and her step-grandfather, George Pendergrass.

She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1967. She worked for many years at Breech Medical Center, and then at Lebanon Publishing Company for 23 years. Most recently, she had worked at the Salvation Army in Lebanon for three years.

Mazie made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and attended Harvest Tabernacle-United Pentecostal Church, and Union Mission Church.

She is survived a host of wonderful neighbors and friends, including Dean and Gwen Moore, Helen Cochrane, and Kirk Pearce, all of Lebanon; and her beloved dog, “Kodi.’’

Graveside services and burial for Mazie L. Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Sleeper with the Rev. Don Anderson officiating, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

A memorial to the Union Mission Church in Lebanon has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
