Mary Ylene Rush Mann, daughter of Ralph and Eva (Shadel) Hess, was born August 6, 1932, in Falcon, Missouri and departed this life January 10, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, Ralph and Eva Hess; four brothers, Don, Roe, Tommy and Doug; and three husbands, Jack Sellers, E.D. Rush and Joe Mann.

Although her top priority was tending to the needs of her family, she also worked outside her home. She was the office manager for Lebanon Daily Record for over twenty years. She loved her job and her co-workers. They became her second family. Mary loved being at home. She enjoyed reading and tending to her flower garden. She especially loved her roses. However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories shared with her family. She loved them dearly.

Mary is survived by one son, Andy Sellers and his wife Chris of Billings, Missouri; step-daughters, Jan Hutton and Mike of Tennessee and Johnna Vandelicht and Dana of Lebanon, Missouri, and their families; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Hess, Betty Hess and Lorena Hess; two grandchildren, Lane Waggoner and Trina Taylor and her husband; several special nieces and nephews and their families; other relatives and many dear friends.

Graveside service for Mary will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Lebanon Cemetery with Pastor David Hillhouse officiating. There is no scheduled visitation. However, friends are encouraged to pay their respects beginning Tuesday afternoon at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
