Mary F. Buck, affectionately known to many as “Crazy Mary,” passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her beloved ex-husband, Douglas Buck, and her loved ones Brandi Buck and Victor Vaughn.
Mary was the youngest of seven children and lived a diverse and adventurous life. Her early years were spent living on ranches and farms before she eventually made her home in Dayton with her husband, Douglas.
Mary leaves behind her children, Melissa Buck, Erin Buck, and Eric (Deidre) Buck; grandchildren, Arianna Buck and Lyric Buck; and great-grandchildren, Je’Brae Treadwell, Joshua Hayes, Jariyah Hayes, and Meilani Williams.
Mary was also a mother in many ways beyond her immediate family. Through her work at 1470 West, she became an integral part of the lives of many young men and women, offering friendship, guidance, encouragement, and a motherly presence.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Randolph of Lebanon, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched throughout the years.
They celebrated her loving life on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45415.
