Crews are still working to restore power to area homes after Monday’s storm, which caused extensive damage in Laclede County. In the City of Lebanon, as of Wednesday morning, there are 875 customers without power and five feeders still down. Electric crews were able to bring 525 customers back online overnight. City Communications Manager Derek Gean said they are still looking at several days to complete all of the necessary work. Crews from Waynesville, St. Robert and St. James are assisting along with numerous contractors and are working around the clock, he said. Lalcede Electric Cooperative still has about 375 members without power, according to Byron Dudley, Manager of Communications and Public Relations. He said 42 Laclede Electric linemen plus 20 linemen from area co-ops providing mutual aid are working to restore power. “We anticipate power will be restored by dark this evening to everyone,” Dudley said. Lebanon Public Works is taking yard debris and limbs can be placed curbside for pickup in coming days. Limbs must be no more than 8 feet in length. Debris pickup will be determined in the coming days. Getting the lights back on is top priority right now, Gean said.
