Man sentenced to death for murders in 2010 dies in prison

Jesse Driskill, who was sentenced to death for killing 82-year-old Johnnie Wilson and 76-year-old Coleen Wilson in 2010 at their home near Bennett Spring State Park, died in custody last week at the Potosi Correctional Center. Missouri Department of Corrections (DOC) said that Driskill was pronounced dead at 5:58 p.m. on June 12. A DOC spokesperson said an autopsy will be conducted, but it may be several weeks before the results are known. For more on this story, see the LCR.
