A Springfield man faces numerous charges after allegedly firing at Lebanon Police Officers Friday afternoon during a chase on Interstate 44 at times reaching speeds of 120 miles per hour.
Charges filed against Troy Michael Covey, 34, include assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap said Covey is a convicted felon and was out of jail on bond and had violated the terms of his bond.
