MABEL PAULINE HENDRIX

Mabel Pauline Hendrix, 93, Conway, Mo., daughter of Oscar Albert and Pearl Mabel (Biggers) Replogle was born on August 24, 1930, in Marshfield, MO. She departed this life for her heavenly home on February 9, 2024, at Strafford Care Center, Strafford, MO.

Pauline was baptized at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church at the age of 13. On March 25, 1950, Pauline was united in marriage to Lloyd Keet Hendrix and to this union four children were born. In 1958, Pauline joined Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rader, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She faithfully attended church until moving to the care center in 2021. Pauline was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the Conway PTA. She served as room mother for all four of her children. Although Pauline and Lloyd only had an eighth-grade education, they attended night school and earned their GEDs.

Pauline loved to babysit and took care of many children in her home for years. She loved to have her grandchildren and great grands stay overnight with her. After Lloyd retired, they traveled around the country, especially to Las Vegas and other casino towns.

Pauline crocheted and pieced quilts. She loved to clip newspaper articles and put them in scrapbooks. Pauline was a great cook and was known for making wonderful fried chicken, pecan pie and peanut brittle.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Pearl Replogle; her husband, Lloyd Keet Hendrix; son in-law, Jay McGovern; five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her four children, Kathryn Sue McGovern, Springfield, Sondra Kay Caffey and husband Dale, Conway, Beverly Ann Vestal and husband Terrell, Niangua; Gary Lee Hendrix and wife Gwendolen, Billings; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Caffey and wife Staci, Amy Emerson and husband Kevin, Danny Vestal and wife Nicole, David Vestal and wife Heather, and Lisa Davidson; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Nina Twyman sister in-laws, Kathleen Replogle, and Mary Quick; brother in-law, Gene Farr and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mabel Pauline Hendrix will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday February 16, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rader, MO, with burial in Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday February 15th at Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
