Lynda was born Lynda Eileen Beard on June 7, 1948. She passed away in her Stoutland, Missouri home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of seventy-eight years, one month and nineteen days.
When Lynda was eighteen years of age, she met the love of her life, Paul Richards. Together they shared fifty-six years of marriage, building a life filled with family, hard work, laughter and love.
Lynda had worked for over thirty years for Mercy Hospital as a logistics manager. She enjoyed her job and the friends she made there became more like family to her.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Sonny Richards and Travis Richards.
Lynda is survived by her loving husband, Paul Richards; her granddaughter, Zoe Richards; her grandson, Keegan Richards; her daughter-in-law, Leisa Pettijohn; and special friends, Travis Stoner and family.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lynda was a strong woman of diverse interests and talents. She took care of the homestead and her family, while being a cherished wife, and loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved crafting, sewing, and putting together photo albums. Her boys affectionately called her “The Queen of the Castle.”
As we remember Lynda Eileen Richards, we honor a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many through her devotion to her family and community. Her kindness and love she had for her family and friends will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
