A Lebanon Police officer followed a car that had caught on fire Tuesday before it finally stopped so the blaze could be extinguished.
No one was injured in the incident.
Officer Christopher Carrasco said he saw a Ford Mustang traveling on East Route 66 at about 2:30 p.m.
“I was on Fremont heading toward Kum & Go by the hospital and saw from the corner of my eye this Mustang turn down towards Route 66. I noticed flames coming out from underneath the carriage near the tires and it took me a second because I thought, is that car really on fire or does it have something special hooked up?"
