LOREN HENRY OBERBECK

Loren Henry Oberbeck, 71, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday morning, Nov. 12, 2020, in his home.

He was born June 22, 1949, in March, Mo. to Henry and Ruby Lucille Anglen Oberbeck.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Herman Oberbeck; a daughter, Michaela Gail; his stepfather, W.O. Campbell; his stepmother, Elizabeth; an infant brother, Herman Oberbeck, and an infant niece, Carrie Beth Caudle.

He was raised in the Conway community, and attended Conway Schools. He then moved to Davenport, Iowa where he worked for Alcoa, Inc. in Riverdale, Iowa for several years. He then began a career as a truck driver and worked for several different transport companies over the years. After retiring, he moved back to the Conway area and made his home.

Loren professed his faith early in life and was prepared to meet his Maker.

Survivors include two daughters, Dana Hammill and her husband Tommie of Iowa, and Stacy Collison and her husband Wayne; two sons, Christopher Oberbeck and his wife Jennifer of Illinois, and Andrew Oberbeck of Davenport, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Oberbeck and his wife Ruby, and Lester Oberbeck, all of Phillipsburg; a sister, Caroline Caudle and her husband Lavon of Phillipsburg; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral services for Loren Henry Oberbeck will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Bill Ruble officiating. Burial will be in Conway Cemetery at Conway, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
