Local attorney's license suspended

Posted

The Missouri Supreme Court has temporarily suspended the license to practice law of a Lebanon attorney who is being investigated for fraud.

Chief Justice George Draper III approved a motion Monday for the interim suspension of attorney Meagan Howe of Lebanon, who has law offices both in Lebanon and Camdenton. In the ruling, the justice wrote that “there is sufficient evidence to demonstrate probable cause that (Howe) is guilty of multiple instances of professional misconduct” and “poses a substantial threat of irreparable harm to the public and to the integrity of the profession.”

As of Tuesday, Howe’s case was not listed on the upcoming disciplinary hearings with the Missouri Supreme Court. The Record will report more information as it becomes available.
