LLOYD EARL PRUITT

Lloyd Earl Pruitt, 79, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, in Lebanon.

He was born June 25, 1941, in Richland, Mo. to Robert and Goldie Trower Pruitt.

On Feb. 14, 1987, he married Kathryn Dampier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Glen Pruitt and by one sister, Laura Ellen Kerby; brothers-in-law, Robert Rousselot, J.B. Dampier, Ronnie Dampier, and Paul Dampier.

Lloyd graduated from Stoutland High School in 1959. He owned and operated Lloyd’s Tire and Muffler Shop in Lebanon for 20 years. He was a delivery man for Pepsi and also O’Reilly Automotive, until his retirement on July 1, 2016, after 16 years. He enjoyed camping with family, listening to classic country music and homemade ice cream. Time spent and memories made with his family, is what he treasured most.

He was a faithful and active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was known as “Grandpa’’ to all the babies for years.

Survivors include his wife Kathryn Pruitt; one son, Bruce Pruitt and his wife Krista of Arlington, Texas; three daughters, Brenda Parker and her husband Kirk and Janine Patey and her husband Richard, both of Lebanon, and Heather Mings and her husband Robert of Marshfield; two sisters, Mabel Addison and her husband Henry of Springfield, and Ruby Harper of Monett; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Pruitt of Lebanon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Jeanette Dampier, Gilbert Dampier and Naomi, Karen and Glen Menley, J. Ward and Debbie Dampier, and Teresa Rousselot; 12 grandchildren, Jordan Nowell and her husband Kyle, Isabelle Pruitt, Kalli Pruitt, Kody Parker and his wife Amanda, Katellyn Parker, Matthew Patey and his wife Tina, Emilee Abel and her husband Cameron, Eli Patey, Haleigh Grapes and her husband Danny, Rileigh Mings, Zack Mings and Kinleigh Mings; six great-grandchildren, Oliver and Crosbee Nowell, Maisy Jo Parker, Leighton, Maisyn and Karsyn Patey and two on the way, baby Abel and baby Grapes, both due in 2021; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services for Lloyd Earl Pruitt will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Don Ball officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at noon until service time, also on Tuesday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
